Due to the complaints about severe server lag I have done a lot of different things, I have deleted a lot of old map files in the backend and I have trimmed the whitelist. This has helped a great deal, I am still working on different methods to cut down on the server lag.
If I accidentally removed you from the whitelist and you are still active post here and you will be re-added.

Thank you, Scott! I'm sure some of these issues will be fixed when Minecraft is updated again, but we might just have to chip away at little things like this to keep our speeds up.
Good thinking on the Whitelist.

This morning things seemed to be working better... and then they got HORRIBLE again... and then eased up... and then just about as bad as I have seen it.
It *has* to be Servercraft. I can't imagine anything else being so intermittent.

Yeah... This afternoon it seemed more laggy than usual. (Wasn't on this morning so I'm not sure how much better it was), but it went to a constant lag that had 10+ second chat delays, etc (normally when the server was at its worst)
Hopefully it's an easy fix, though...
