Hi everyone! I had an idea regarding sign placement in the server.
Most of us (the ones that were here before the server switched, then claimed the new plots when the server came up), saw what Scott told us to do before we started building.
"Grab a sign and take a plot" I believe it was.
We, before we started building, would post a sign like:
================
Askrobert1234's
Pimpin Leaf House
================
or "RESERVED: [NameHere]"
However, recently people haven't been doing this.
I walked outside of town today (going to find a mine rather than digging under the spawn city), and found multiple things that caught my eye.
One was a cobblestone frame that was uneven on the sides, a few blocks tall on one side, and hadn't even been started on the other. - If people placed a sign saying "[Name]'s House", "IN PROGRESS", "Project Lead: [Name]", and so on - I would know who to contact about it.
Some players (including popular ones) have been gone for weeks, so we don't even know what house is theirs. - It leaves unfinished houses laying around that look hideous because they are just a frame, are a farm with half fences, etc.
I think it should be a rule that there should be a sign so players and admins alike can tell who's property they are on. - (It would have been nice to know - since I walked down a staircase dug into the ground, jumped down a waterfall, and saw a sign at the bottom saying "LEAVE - MY RIFT"
1.) I didn't even know WHOSE sign it was
2.) They placed it inside, so no one can even know
3.) We can claim entire rifts?!
Haha, anyways... - My main concern is that some houses look like they were made by a few of the... Banned players. - However, we don't know - and they can't be altered, because we don't know if it is or not.
Is there any way this can be enforced? - It would be nice to know who owns what, and who's working on what project.
Opinions? Ideas?
Thanks!
-Robert
