The commander is the first class you will encounter since it is the class of our main hero in Oberon Knights. The commander is in laments terms a Sword n Board warrior. If you were playing Oberon Knights right now a commanders key mappings would be:
A: Regular Attack - Nothing Special
S: Shield Block
The commander is not a hard hitter. But he makes up for it with his shield skills. The design is take an enemy down slow and steady. He's also a good fill in tank. When up against a strong attacking enemy he can take a beating thanks to his shield.
Armor: In order to stay agile to both block and strike fast the Commander uses chain mail armor. The commander does not do well when attacked by spears and piercing weapons. He can still block them, still I would not recommend sending him in against that sort of of foe.
Abilities:
Level 1 - Shield Bash: This low level attack will daze an opponent and do a good deal of damage. The opponent will be dazed for about ten seconds, giving you a good window of opportunity.
Adds 30 seconds to the global cool down.
Level 3 - Shield Boomerang - You select up to three targets and throw your shield hitting and greatly slowing down all three enemies.
Adds 30 seconds to the global cool down.
Level 5 - Sweep: The Sweep Ability is a knockback. If you use this it will knock back anything within range, it also does a moderate amount of damage.
Adds 30 seconds to the global cool down
Level 7 - Retreat: The commander is able to call for the group to retreat. This command brings you to the hub world. Use this ability wisely because it carries a hefty global cooldown.
Adds 10 minutes to the global cool down.
Level 10 - Shield Charge - Sheaths his sword and charges at the enemy with his sheild doing high damage.
Adds 1 minute to the global cool down..
Level 20 - Vital Strike - Stabs a vital organ causing a high amount of damage. The victem takes damage after for 30 seconds if still alive.
Adds 1 minute to the global cool down.
Level 30 - Arrow Wave - The commander calls upon his archers to fire a wave of arrows. These arrows hit any and every enemy with in the selected area for massive amounts of damage.
Adds 3 minutes to the global cooldown.
Level 40 - Chain of Command - The commander is capable of calling upon any party member that is inactive (one that is not in the current group of four). You can use this member for up to five minutes, or until said character dies, at which point you will return to the battlefield with full health..
Once summoned you cannot use the summoned party member's special abilities, but also remember that you will probably be summoning this member for their normal attack.
(I.E - If you summon a fire mage their basic attacks use fire spells without any mana cost. While you can't use their skills or magic you can still take advantage of their primary move set.)
Adds 5 minutes to the global cool down.
50 - Shield Wall - The commander becomes invulnerable to all physical attacks for two minutes. During this time the commander cannot attack and cannot switch party members.
Adds 5 minutes to the global cool down.
60 - Heroism - The commander becomes inspired resulting in a temporary/massive increase in damage for two minutes.
Adds 5 minutes to the global cool down.
70 - Ward - The commander is able to put a special elemental ward on his shield. Upon use of this ability you select an element, and for two minutes you cannot be hurt by that element as long as you are blocking.
Adds 5 minutes to the global cool down.
80 - Reflect - While blocking 50% of any physical damage done to the Commander while blocking is "reflected" and dealt to the attacker.
Adds 5 minutes to the global cool down.
90 - Moral Boost - The commander is able to boost the moral of his entire party. When used all magic spells and any sort of attack are boosted by 50% for up to 2 minutes.
Adds 7 minutes to the global cool down.
99 - Inspiration - At his peak the commander is capable of bringing people back from near death situations through inspiration. All downed party members are revived to full health.
Adds 10 minutes to the global cool down.
