Yes, Creeper Explosions are active and yes when I wake up every morning I'm not only repairing my building, but others and landscape. If you walk near a building and a creeper explodes you have to fix it, if you don't that is considered greifing. Greifing gets you an instant ban.

I don't want to sound like a wise guy or anything but what happens if we dont have the exact materials to repair the building. E.G. Steves house is made of glass, I have no glass in my inventory, and the glass was destroyed by the explosion. Should I fill it in with what I have? or not fill it in and try gather the resources to fill it in? Just curious Money

Yeah, creeper damage and Ender Griefing are my two big complaints about Minecraft. I find it very difficult to play when I am constantly repairing and never building -- especially since we started back with nothing.
I think if people just do their best to fix things it should be okay -- but I am not [personally] going to search for sand, build a furnace, find coal, and make glass to fix a few blocks that a random creeper blew up. And glass is easy. I can't even imagine if a creeper blew up something like iron blocks or something.
In retrospect we should not have switched over until Bukkit was ready... but who figured it was going to take weeks? Crazy.
