I have a sudden urge to play a horror game that will get my mind running and will probably stop me from going to sleep for a few days. Something where the monsters don't jump out at you every minute going 'aboogly woogly woo', but one where the monsters are scarcely seen, so your imagination is doing all the work, but when they are fully seen, they are coming after you and trying to rip your arms off. I tried with Amnesia before, but the game won't work with computers that have integrated computers, and Penumbra are made by the same people, so that won't work either. I don't mind paying anything, but if it's over $15. I heard F.E.A.R and Silent Hill do this well, and some mods for Half-Life 2 too. If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great.

I've heard that Dead Space was pretty good... But I don't know how "Horror" it is because I haven't personally played it myself. Amnesia was my favorite its a shame it didn't work for you! I got about 75% through and I just couldn't build up my courage enough to continue. DOOM 3 (although a little old now) was also good. Very dark, VERY good audio (at least at the time... im not sure now compared to todays sounds in BF3, etc.) - but it was a very immersive experience and scary running into a zombie around a corner in pitch black with nothing but a flash light out at the time... - It was either beat it with a flash light and see... or have it be pitch black in the corridor with the ability to shoot. I love horror games, though ;P
