I'm thinking something fantasy or sci fi would be a cool name for the server. Obviously we love Doctor Who, but are there other names that would help us reach out to new people when Ven and I take on the relaunch?
So here are some of my off-the-top-of-my-head suggestions:
Farpoint Station The Holodeck The Cantina Jabbas Palace The Death Star The Star Destroyer Jedi Academy TARDIS (somethingorother) The Time Machine OffWorld DeepSpace 9 The Worm Hole The Rabbit Hole Avalon Camelot The Labyrinth Far Far Away Steampunk Falls Elysium Elysian Fields Metropolis Event Horizon Tannhauser Gate Neverland The Shire
(I'm still brainstorming so feel free to make suggestions)

Omg I like the Rabbit Hole idea Why? Because "We're all mad here" Haha... Because the whole world Alice was in was so odd. Every place she went was different - much like what we've wanted with the server. The others are good as well - but I really like that idea because it is so unique!

I agree with Robert. If we were to do this the spawn could be a hole you jump into

Seems cool. The server must be rebuilt in some form, so a new name is a good starting point. I don't like some of the more directly-infuenced names, as people would assume this server was only about that thing, and people who didn't like that wouldn't even look at the page, whereas something like "The Rabbit Hole" or "The Labyrinth" wouldn't be subject to people instantly ruling it out. Thus, I prefer those 2 names. (Plus I just like them more)

Sorry I havent be on recently (My reasons are: Fallout New vegas, School, and getting slightly bored of Minecraft) HOWEVER, If the server was to become The Shire I think that could open lots of options for new people and innovative designs. For example: Spawn: nice shire, hobbit holes, rivers, hills etc City: mordor (very similar but more mordor like *Mt. Doom, mountains surrounding it* in mordor region City: Minas Tirith (giant stone city, citadel) in gondor region City: various elf cities (trees, lots of trees) in forest region City: Mines of Moria/ the place where the 13 dwarves go to in "the hobbit" I forget the name in dwarven area (mountains, mines, LOTS of mines)
Basically a recreation of middle earth(ish) each person lives in a region, each region lives in a city (Divide world into 4 sections)
Places far to the north can be swamp in the south, desert and west ocean
This could be really good if it is possible to alter biomes and make a map by making big Biomes near each other in sections

I like the ideas for sci fi movie themed cities... But we need to regulate who will make them and who will be the mayor/ruler of the city. (No, not like godlike powers over citizens - but setting up plots, making city laws for the town bulletin board, etc.) The main reason I want this is because of the issues that occurred with previous towns in TARDISCraft. - Some downs were large and unorganized, some small enough to be individual houses in another town or the wild, and some were made "for the lulz" (After towny was introduced by Scott, players could just claim land and make towns wherever they pleased) The town size isn't as much of an issue as the player that leads it. I won't name any names of players that got on my nerves - but some were building towns RIGHT on the border of another player's town. - Such as a cliff city on one side of "DreamLand", a desert city on the other side of DreamLand, and an air city ABOVE DreamLand... - I mean, COME ON... Seriously! Two of the three cities were owned by the same player. The players that were more subtle about taking over people's towns just had players create a "Shop" or "House" in a players city - but fill it with "Embassy" signs advertising their towns or products elsewhere. Sorry to sound so bitchy about it - but the players taking advantage of other players and their stuff just irritated me a whole bunch. The ideas for middle-earth, futuristic, etc cities sounds absolutely fantastic, though. I support that 110%! It would be an easy way to get people to join the server that like The Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, etc. Other than city ideas, though... What do you guys think regarding the name? We all seem to like "The Rabbit Hole" quite a bit... - It has been mentioned in multiple movies because it was so unpredictable and had such interesting things inside it. That could sum up the server in just one name! If you dislike the idea, please post why and offer another suggestion! We want to make sure the new server appeals not just to the administration and the supporters, but people that just skim by it in the MinecraftForum topic list or other advertisement boards. Looking forward to seeing the new server in action! ~ Robert

Two things-
1. Sorry Robert I had no idea the town was right next to dreamland until I built my stuff.
2. Is the server gone because I cant connect to it?

The whole of the server is dead, Dough. The whitelists will need to be redone, everything will need to be built up from scratch, the mods reinstalled, rankings put back in, new arrangements for paying for the server arranged; the server died when scott dissappeared. I have a rather grim theory about that one. But the point is, even without Scott, it feels like we sorta know each other, and I for one don't want to go and find a new server when I've been having fun on this server for months. If we want to help Ven and Griff set up, I say we wait, support them with ideas, and possibly donate money so the server can be payed for easier and leave the arrangements for later? <------- Question for Griff or Ven. I don't know whether that's right.
Oh, and also; sorry robert, I thought I had explained what the embassy was before I made it.

I like the Idea for The Rabbit Hole! It sounds like a cool name for a server.
I hope scott's okay, but we shouldn't rush getting the server back up. As Jjh said, we both have a grim theory, but we should be supporting Griff and Ven in getting this place back up.

I just want to let everyone know that I'm starting up a server of my own pretty soon. Details will be coming later.

It's probably been hacked again. The retards who hacked it have paid the bill for this month too. Why the hell are you trying to even get on the server anyway? If you can't remember, everything's been deleted, and it's just a dead, empty server.

Slash, these hackers clearly have some way of accessing the server, and I have no idea why they would want to break into it, especially paying the bill as well. Would it be possible to just start a completely new server with a different ip adress, name, everything, rather than fighting with the hackers for pretty much the same outcome?

Of course they have a way of accessing the server, by the back end, like they did the first time. They're fucking idiots who didn't see that no one was playing on it, but still brought the server up to make it like this. And since when was anyone trying to bring TARDIS Craft back up? It was dead when we got the second map, in my opinion.
